Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Summit on Global Agenda, has announced the conclusion of this year's summit in the UAE, which was held from November 12-14 in Dubai.

He added the sixth edition of the summit will be held in Abu Dhabi from 18-20 November 2013.

Al Gergawi said that: "The summit this year was not only special in terms of size and the variety of topics, but also included major activities launched for the first time in the UAE to enhance and enable the participation of leaders of international bodies and groups, youth and local talents from the government and the private sector".

He also stressed the importance of the partnership between the UAE represented by the federal government and local governments of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with the World Economic Forum.

"Our five years of partnership and hard work were devoted to find practical solutions to the most pressing issues and present constructive recommendations to world leaders in Davos," added Al Gergawi.

The Global Agenda Summit 2012 discussed a wide range of issues such as finance and capital, climate change, food and water security, the protection of intellectual property, organised crime, as well as many social, economic, environmental and educational issues, with the participation of over 1,000 experts and global thinkers.
