Accident near Global Village; Al Khail Rd

An accident has been reported on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, opposite Global Village heading towards Sharjah.

Dubai Police tweeted news about the accident this morning, asking motorists to reduce speed and leave enough space between vehicles.

Also, an accident has been reported on Al Rebat Street towards Al Garhoud bridge.

Dubai Police also urged motorists to slow down near school zones, especially at bus stops and student transportation areas.

An accident involving three SUVs also stalled morning traffic on Al Khail Road.

The traffic tailback stretched from the bridge leading from the Business Bay near Badia Residence up to the bridge opposite the Dubai Festival City.

Three SUVs – a land cruiser, FJ cruiser and another – were locked together in a peculiar triangle shape.

“No police vehicles or ambulance were found, but the impact on the vehicles looks pretty damaging,” reported a commuter.
