Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) has allocated 1,228 residential plots to citizens eligible for the grant ordered by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan as part of 3,000 residential plots planned to be offered to nationals in Abu Dhabi, said Land and Real Estate Division at the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City.

These includes 2,952 residential land plots distributed as follows: 1,835 land plots at the suburbs of Abu Dhabi city, 1,041 plots at the suburbs of Al Ain city, and 76 plots in the Western Region.

Municipality of Abu Dhabi City said in a statement that this grant falls in line with the policy of Sheikh Khalifa to achieve the highest standards of living to all citizens, and underscores his belief that what citizens obtain from their country is in fact a successful investment in human wealth, as proved time and again by the experience gained over the past years.

Owaidhah Al Qubaisi, Acting Executive Director of Municipal Services Sector, said: "Starting from this week, Land and Real Estate Division will finalise the allocation of 400 new land plots as part of this grant. A team from the Customer Service Centers Division has already started to receive the identity documents in a smooth process. The citizen has simply to visit a Customer Service Center, whether at the Head Office, or any other External Center at Al Bateen, Al Shahama or Al Wathba, to fill the allocation request and attach it to the identity documents, namely copies of the passport, family book, identity card and property ownership certificate issued by the Customer Service Centre at the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City."

"Upon submission / receipt of the completed papers, they will be electronically transferred to the Lands and Communal Housing Committee to complete the process of land allocation. Once the process is finished, text messages will be sent to all beneficiaries notifying them of the location and number of their respective land plots," added Al Qubaisi.

He pointed out that the External Centers at Al Wathba, Al Bateen and Al Shahama had considerably contributed to facilitating the procedures and serving customers at their localities in an effort to avoid thronging the Main Center. He called upon all applicants to save time and effort and submit their applications together with all required paperwork to these centers to clear their transactions.
