Air Wing saves lives of two Emiratis in RAK

In two separate incidents, Ras Al Khaimah Police’s Air Wing Department saved the lives of two Emiratis who fell ill outdoors.

Lieutenant Said Rashid   Al Yamahi, Head of Air Wing, Ras Al Khaimah Police, said the operations room received a call informing of an emergency atop a mountainous area.

A man was suffering from epileptic seizures, while he was out with two of his relatives.

A chopper flew to the site immediately. The patient was administered first-aid and air-lifted to hospital for further treatment, explained Lt Yamahi.

In another incident,  the Air Wing officials saved the life an Emirati who fainted outdoors.

The moment the operations room received a call informing them of a national lying unconscious in the mountainous area, the chopper was at his service. He was also given first-aid before being transferred to hospital.

Lt Yamahi said members of Air Wing Department are ready at all times to attend to any emergency. Safety of residents is their priority, he added.
