Bollywood A-list couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will finally get the keys of their palatial villa in Dubai’s Sanctuary Falls in Jumeirah Golf Estates early next year, people with project information told Emirates 24/7.

“We expect they will get their home in the first quarter 2016 as the developer has started handover of villas,” the source said asking not to be named.

In 2013, this website reported that the Bollywood star and her daughter Aaradhya had visited their villa to finalise selections for the interior design and kitchen.

On Tuesday, Shaikh Holdings, the project’s developer, announced the handover of the first villa in the development.

“Our focus has always been on the homeowner and it gives us great pleasure to welcome the first residents into the Sanctuary Falls community,” company Chief Executive Officer Imran Shaikh said in a statement.

The 97-villa community overlooks the Earth, an 18-hole championship golf course, the venue of the DP World Tour Championship. JGE is also home to Fire, another championship golf course.

Residents, according to the developer, will have access to clubhouses and use the European Tour Performance Institute to perfect their golf skills.

Besides, each of the villas is equipped with a Scavolini-designer kitchen outfitted with Miele appliances, Nolte wardrobes and Villeroy & Boch sanitary ware. The house has an advanced home automation system by Platinum Vision and concierge service provided by Quintessentially.

The developer said it has a few villas for sale. Currently, the units are listed for Dh10 million to Dh25 million on property portals.

The Dh1.1 billion villa development was launched in July 2007 with planned completion in 2010.

Other celebrities that own homes in Dubai are Shah Rukh Khan (owns a villa on the Palm Jumeirah), Salman Khan (owns an apartment in Dubai Marina) and his younger brother, Sohail (owns a whole floor in an apartment tower in Business Bay). Emirates 24/7 reported earlier that actors such as Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif are looking to buying properties in the emirate.
