Car renewals go fully electronic in Ajman

December 31 will be the last date for receiving applications for manually renewing vehicle registrations in the emirate of Ajman.

Lt. Col. Ali Hamid Al Museiba, director of the Vehicle Licensing Department of Ajman Police, said all vehicle registration renewals will be done electronically from January 1, 2015.

This will be applicable for all private vehicles owned by individuals and companies operating in the emirate, he said.

The fee for renewal can be paid by credit card or e-dirham after screening procedures are completed, he said.

Al Museiba urged businesses to get an account number and PIN as soon as possible to be able to access this service electronically. He said leaflets are being distributed to enable companies to get renewal of their vehicle registrations done electronically.

The computer application for vehicle registration renewal, which was launched on September 1, can be downloaded from the Ajman government’s web site, he said.
