Reckless driving without number plate

Abu Dhabi Police patrols, on the morning of one of Eid days, arrested a 21-year-old motorist in the Al Maqam residential  area of Al Ain for driving without a number plate in a reckless manner.

The driver, who is identified by ‘Emarat Al Youm’ as being Emirati, was also charged with disturbing the neighbourhood with his driving and endangering the lives of others.

Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, assured  that what the driver had done is a traffic violation and after traffic patrols followed him, he refused to stop trying to lose them and hide.

Brigadier Al Dhaheri He said that such behaviour is a threat to the safety of the driver and others.

“This cannot be accepted and is considered an offence that requires arrest,” he said adding, “Evading police patrols  is a disregard for the law and policemen.”
