Dubai Apple store in September?

Apple has been working on opening up Apple stores in the UAE including the world’s largest outlet at Mall of the Emirates.

While there has been no official confirmation from Apple about the possible opening date or the location of the stores, new job postings that have been listed indicate a possible date.

Apple posted fourteen new job openings including that for a senior manager – retail; manager- retail; business leader; service specialist; and also has invited applicants for store leader programme.

Hidden in one of the job posting is a date that indicates that Apple store could well be up and running by September 2015.

In its requirements for applicants for the store leader programme Apple states that the global start date for the programme is September 2015.

The requirements include that the candidate "have a passion for technology and Apple. You’re fluent in English. Experience interacting with different cultures, time spent travelling abroad, or familiarity with other languages is a plus.  The global start date for the programme is September 2015. You’ll need to be flexible with your schedule. Your work hours will be based on business needs."

‘Emirates24|7’ had reported about the possible store opening in August 2014 and indicated that there could be not one but two new stores in the country.

Latest reports indicate that while Apple will first open a store in Dubai, which could possibly be located in the Mall of the Emirates, the second store would be opened much later. It was also rumoured that Apple could open a store in Abu Dhabi.

Another recent media report also indicated that the Mall of the Emirates store could be ready by August 2015.
