Bus cancellations, diversions this weekend

Several bus trips will be cancelled and others redirected during the Grand Tour Abu Dhabi this weekend in Abu Dhabi, the Western region and Al Ain, due to partial road closures, announced the Department of Transport (DoT).

The changes to the bus schedules will be in place on October 8 in the Western region, October 9 in Abu Dhabi and October 10 in Al Ain, following the activities of the tour in the emirate.

The DoT stated that the decision to change bus service routes aims to ensure the safety and security of all vehicle drivers and road users whilst facilitating all possible means to make the tour a success.

Abu Dhabi – 9 October

The closure of Zayed Sports City Area on Friday afternoon will affect most bus routes.

Several lines will be cancelled due to this closure:

Line 190 linking Zayed Sports City and Yas Island East will see cancellation of trips going from Zayed Sports City to Yas Island at 15:15 and 16:15, as well as trips from Yas Island to Abu Dhabi at 13:12, 14:12, and 15:12.

Line 195 linking Zayed Sports City with Yas Island North will see cancellation of trips from Abu Dhabi at 15:15 and 16:15 as well as trips initiating from Yas Island at 13:43, 14:43, and 15:43.
 
The following lines will be re-routed between 14:00 to 15:30 to Al Salam, Al Dhafeer and Airport Roads:

101 (Mussafah Dalma Mall- Abu Dhabi Khalifa Street)

102 (Mussafah Bus Station- Khalifa Street)

103(Mohammed Bin Zayed City East Mosque-Khalifa Street)

104 (Mohammed Bin Zayed City South Mosque- Khalifa Street)

110  (Mussafah ICAD- Khalifa Street)

111 (Residential ICAD- Khalifa Street)

115 (Mussafah Driving School- Khalifa Street)

120 (Mohammed Bin Zayed City East Mosque- Khalifa Street)

130 (Abu Dhabi University- Khalifa Street)

155 (Shakhbout City North- Khalifa Street)

400 (Al Wathba- Abu Dhabi)

401 (Baniyas North Mosque- Abu Dhabi)

As a result of the closure of Khalifa City Cannel Street from 14:00 - 15:10, several bus trips will be re-routed to go via Airport Road to Salam Street. These lines are the following:

140 (Zayed University- Khalifa Street)

160 Khalifa City ADNOC- Khalifa Street)

161 (Khalifa City North- Khalifa Street)

Lines 162 and 163 linking Masdar City with Abu Dhabi Khalifa Street

170 (Zayed Sport City- Abu Dhabi International Airport)

180 (Zayed Sports City- Al Raha Beach Aldar HQ)

201 (Zayed Sports City- Shaleelah Mosque)

202 (Zayed Sports City- Al Rahaba Hospital)

203 (Zayed Sports City- ShahamaJadeedah)

204 (Zayed Sports City- Al Shaleelah East Mosque)

300 (Zayed Sports City- Shamkha North)

301 (Zayed Sports City- Al FalahJadeedah)

Other diversions are the following:

Line 5 (Marina- Al Mariah Al Suwwah Square), Line 7 (Marina- Al Reem Island), and line 9 (Marine- Mina Souq) will stop at Baynunah Street / Intercontinental Hotel from 15:40 to 16:25

Line 8 (Al Bateen- Al Mina Fish Market) will stop at the Terminal from 15:30 to 16:15

Line 10 (Al Raas Al Akhdar- Mina Centre) will stop at Street 2 / Khwarizmi College and the Terminal from 15:30 to 16:15

Line 11 (Marina- Fishermen Syndicate) will stop at at Baynunah Street / the Central Bank from 15:40 to 16:25 and at the Terminal  from 15:30 to 16:15

Line 32 (Marina- Al Maqta West) will stop at Baynunah Street / Intercontinental Hotel from 15:40 to 16:25 will re-route to Al Karama the International Tower Street from 14:15 to 15:05

Line 34 (Al Raas Al Akhdar- Abu Dhabi Courts) will stop at Family Park, Hamdan Street from 15:40 to 16:25

Line 40 (Mariah Sowwah Square - Khalifa Park South) will not go to Zayed Sports City Street and re-route to  Al Karama Street the International Tower close the Zayed Sports City Street from 14:00 to 14:45

Line 44 (Al Mina Fishermen Syndicate- Officers’ Club) will stop at the Terminal from 15:30 to 16:15 and will re-route to Al Muroor Street to end at Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society from 14:00 to 15:05

Line 52 (Mariah Sowwah Square - Abu Dhabi Courts) will not go to Zayed Sports City Street and re-route to Al Karama Street the International Tower Street from 14:00 to 14:50

Line 54 (Mina Fish Market to Umm Al Naar) will not go to Zayed Sports City Street with the route changing course towards Al Muroor Road at the Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society  from 14:00 to 15:05 and stop at Street 2/ Khwarizmi College from 15:30 to 16:30

Line 56 (Mina Souq- Khalifa Park) will stop at Street 2/ Khwarizmi College from 15:30 to 16:15

Line 63 (Marina- Al Reem Island) will stop at Family Park from 15:30 pm to 16:25 and.
 
Al Ain – 10 October

The cancelled services are the following:

Line 350 (Al Ain Bus Station to Sweihan) from 12:30 to 14:10 and return trips from 09:46 to13:44

Line 360 (Al Ain to Sweihan via Nahil) from 12:30 to 15:35) and return trips from 09:46 to 15:35

Line Line 380 (Al Ain to Al Faqa) from 12:41 to 15:35 and return trips from 09:41 to 15: 35

 Line Line 390 (Al Ain to Al Shwaib) from 12:00 to 15:35 and return trips from 10:46 to 14:44

Line 491 (Al AinSouq to Al Yahar North) from 12:30 till 16:00 and return trips from 11:16 to 16:14)

Line 495 (Al AinSouq to Alia Mosque) from 13:00 to 14:10 and return trips from 10:41 to 13:39)

Line 996 (Al Saad South to Al Ain Mall) from 12:30 to 16:00 and from 10:26 to 15:24)

Line 970 (Al Bateen East to Mubazzarah) from 11:00 to 16:40 and return trips from 10:30 to 16:40

Line 980 (Al Maqam East to Al Khrair East) from 11:54 to 13:24 and return trips from 12:01 to 13:29

Line 990 (Al Maqam West to Ain Al Fayda) from 11:00 to 16:40 and from 10:30 to 16:40

The following routes will be changed:

Line 440 (Mussafah to Al Ain Bus Station) will stop at Tawam Hospital between 08:01 and 12:59

Line X90 (Abu Dhabi Bus Station to Al Ain Bus Station) will stop at Tawam Hospital from 10:59 to 11:59 whilst return trips on the same line will be cancelled from 13:01 to 14:10
 
Line 490 (Abu Dhabi International Airport to Al Ain Bus Station) will not be affected and trips on both directions will operate on Sunday as usual.
 
Western region – 8 October

The following lines will be cancelled:

Line 640, 651, and 652 (Liwa to Arada) from 13:20 to 15:30

Line 650 and 655 (Liwa to Hameem) from 12:00 to 15:30

Line 660, 663, 675, X60, and X61 (from Madinat Zayed) from 15:00 to 17:30

Line 670 (from Tarrif Bus Station to Madinat Zayed Bus Station) from 15:00 to 17:30 with the last trip leaving at 14:15

Line 660 and X60 (Liwa to Madinat Zayed) from 14:30 to 16:30
