Campaign on how to avoid Mers Coronavirus

Under the slogan ‘Your health is our responsibility’, the Ministry of Labour has launched a preventive health awareness campaign to educate employees and customers of proper ways to avoid Mers Coronavirus.

The Inspections Department at the Ministry of Labour in Abu Dhabi held the Mers-CoV prevention awareness campaign over two days in collaboration with Al-Noor and Ain Al-Khaleej Hospital, where specialised doctors answered many inquiries of many employees and customers who have shown keen interest in learning more about the virus and the most effective prevention methods.

Doctors called upon participants seeking updates on the Mers-Coronavirus, to approach official credible medical sources to such information and to stop circulating rumors around to avoid public panic.

Hussein Al-Alili, Deputy Director of the Government Communications Dept, said major health activities, which were organised in collaboration with many public and private partners, were part of the ministry's keenness towards social responsibility.

"The importance of implementing such programmes and activities, is to build the concept of our cultural responsibility and community participation for our MoL staff and customers alike," he said.
