The tailbacks continue to plague drivers on Sheikh Rashid Road, Oud Metha, 2nd December Street , Al Mina Road and the Port Rashid junction.

Meanwhile, rubberneckers on the opposite side of the road have also caused further jams on the northbound traffic on the busy Sheikh Zayed Road, with one commuter stating: “It’s an accident! We see five of those every day on these roads. Stopping and staring at accidents does not help anyone, least of all you.”

Even at 11am, traffic continued to persist, with Farah Al Obaidi tweeting: “Now too much traffic due to serious car accident towards Shiekh Zayed Road.”

Drivers are being cautioned to use alternate roads such as Al Khail, Al Wasl or Beach Road.
