Child accidentally run over by dad

A three-year-old Emirati boy was crushed to death in Sharjah’s central region when he was run over by his father who was moving the car back without noticing his son was behind the vehicle, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

The father said he was moving his car back to go out of his house when he knocked his son over, adding that he did not see the boy was playing in the back.

The child was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries but died on the way, according to ‘Emarat Al Youm’ daily.

The paper said it was the fourth accident to involve children accidentally killed by their relatives in that area in the first seven months of 2015.
