Dead man found on Fujairah port pier

An Asian man was found dead on the pier of Fujairah port and police believe the body was dumped by a ship, newspapers reported on Friday.

The civil defence rushed to the area after receiving a call that there is a body on the port pier in the eastern emirate, they said.

The unidentified man was taken to Fujairah hospital but he was already dead and would be handed over to relatives later, the report said.

“Police said they believe the man had died aboard a ship which transported him to the country,” the Arabic language daily Emarat Al Youm said without giving further details.
