A jobless Kenyan allegedly asked police to deport him or he would blow up the building he stays in.

On April 17, at 5pm, JM called Dubai Police Operation Room and threatened to blow up a building in Naif area where he stays if police didn’t deport him.

Police used the mobile phone number to reach JM.

It was discovered that the accused arrived in the country on October 18 on a work visa as a security guard.

Staying in the sponsor’s accommodation, JM had overstayed his visa.

Three hours later, the accused was arrested near his building. During the search, police did not find anything in his apartment.

Officers confiscated the mobile number from which he made the call to threaten police.

He admitted to threaten police to blow up the building because he wanted to go back to his country by any means since he was jobless. JM, 25, was also accused of consuming alcohol and overstaying his visa.

The court will announce its verdict on June 13.
