Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Dubai Post digital platform.

Dubai Post will set up and implement special visual content that reflects DEWA’s efforts in supporting its employees and helping them advance in various jobs, providing them with the appropriate environment to achieve the future objectives of DEWA and its members.

The agreement was signed by Khadeeja Al Marzooqi, Editor-in-Chief at Dubai Post, and Khawla Al Mehairi, Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications Division of DEWA, at DEWA’s headquarters.

Commenting on signing the MoU, Al Mehairi said, "The strategic partnership with Dubai Post comes in adherence with the trend towards the new media, with its simple visual content. It is a step forward in partnerships and emphasises DEWA’s interest in collaborating with institutions that apply a new approach in their sectors."

"We believe that the future prospects of this partnership will be positive and mutually beneficial, and will provide the public with the benefit and enjoyment of non-traditional media," added Al Mehairi.

"Our partnership with DEWA is an extension of Dubai Post's vision of focusing on the bright side of every story, highlighting positive and useful models in society that create the values of inspiration and hope," said Al Marzooqi.

"Dubai Post represents the new media. In this spirit, we seek to present everything new and useful, in an easy, creative, and unusual way. Thus, we signed a partnership agreement with a national institution that supports innovation and creativity, such as DEWA. This provides an opportunity to introduce institutional and individual efforts, to the community, and to enhance Dubai Post's efforts to be a valuable media addition," added Al Marzooqi.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, launched Dubai Post last March as the first local digital platform based mainly on visual content, and adapted to the technologies in stimulating human interaction in parallel with social media.
