The Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police has warned motorists that they face a fine of Dh200 if their vehicles block traffic movement after minor road accidents.

Jamal Salem Al Amri, head of public relations at the directorate, asked drivers to remove their vehicle from the main road after minor accidents or mechanical breakdowns and park them in a safe position so that they do not obstruct the movement of other vehicles.

Al Amri said this in the context of the present foggy conditions in Abu Dhabi which sometimes causes minor accidents. He urged drivers to be cautious because fog has reduced visibility in some areas of the Emirate.
