The Al Habtoor Group will host a careers fair for its hotels division today (9 May, 2013) at the Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa in the Al Salat Meeting Room at 3:30pm.

The multiple jobs on offer cover a variety of positions throughout the Group’s hotel division. The vacancies are entry level to middle management.

There are 40 jobs available. The vacancies are for all Dubai hotels; The Habtoor Grand Beach Resort and Spa, the Metropolitan Palace Hotel and the Metropolitan Deira Hotel.

The Group will be opening four new hotels over the next three years; three hotels on Habtoor Island (WESTIN, W Hotel and St. Regis) as well as the Waldorf Astoria on Palm Jumeirah. The new hotels will offer significant employment opportunities.

“Dubai has long recognised that a main pillar of its success lies in maintaining a successful tourism industry. ‘Hospitality’ as it is on offer in any location is a reflection of local customs and unique approach toward taking care of one’s guests. The UAE in general and Dubai in particular has to offer a rich experience to any traveler and who best to exhibit this than local nationals,” said Henning Fries, Group Director of Operations at the Group. The careers fair, only open to Emirati citizens, will explain the demands of the jobs available and the hiring policies and procedures.

The vacant positions at Habtoor Hotels (Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa, Metropolitan Palace Hotel and Metropolitan Deira Hotel) include that of reservation agents, housekeeping supervisor, cost clerks, outlet cashiers, F&B secretaries, receptionist/attendants, income audit, account payable supervisor, safety supervisor, sales managers and events coordinator.

It is open to all Emirati applicants. The open day will allow candidates to hand their CVs and job applications directly to the Al Habtoor Group Emiratisation Manager, Fatma Al Haddad. Their credentials will then be reviewed and successful applicants will have ‘on-the-spot’ interviews.
