Two vehicles collided on Emirates Road this morning. One driver was seriously injured in the accident, reports the Traffic Department of Dubai Police.
The accident happened at 10.00 AM on Emirates Road in the direction of Abu Dhabi. A water tanker had to suddenly come to a stop, as there seemed to be a problem with the tanker.
A pick-up truck that did not respond fast enough clashed with the tanker.
The Indian driver of the pick-up truck was seriously injured and transmitted to Rashid Hospital.
The Pakistani driver of the tanker faced no injuries.
The flow of traffic was temporarily disrupted as the vehicles needed to be removed from the road.
