An Emirati man who already had piled up 25 black points for reckless driving was caught involved in dangerous driving performance inside a petrol station in Dubai, an act police said could have caused a disaster.

The station in Al Aweer was packed with cars when the driver of the four-wheel Nissan Patrol pushed his way through on two tyres in a stunt performance that could have caused a big blaze and casualties.

“This man is 30 years old and already has a bad traffic record…he has already piled up 25 black points for rash driving and had his driving licence suspended for six months,” Dubai traffic police chief Colonel Saif Al Mazroui said.

“His car was seized again. He will be prosecuted and the penalty this time will be heavier as he nearly caused a disaster and risked lives,” he told Emarat Al Youm daily.

Mazroui said police arrested the driver after they saw a film on social networks showing the driver coasting on two tryes among vehicles waiting for petrol at the station.
