Two drivers escaped with injuries as their vehicles flipped over in separate accidents in the UAE on Sunday.

While the Asian driver was rescued from inside his overturned vehicle in Ajman Industrial area, a truck driver who was heading towards Umm Al Quwain was transferred to Sheikh Khalifa Hospital for treatment, reported Al Khaleej.

Col. Nasser Rashid Al Zari, Director, Customer Service Centre, and official spokesperson of the Civil Defence, Ajman, said that no sooner than the operations room received information of a vehicle flipping-over in the industrial area, than civil defence vehicles and an ambulance rushed to the site.

The team managed to pull out the driver who was stuck inside, and he was transferred by ambulance to Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Hospital to receive treatment.

In another incident, a heavy duty truck overturned at the exit of Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road in Mahzab area. The collision caused damage to the iron barrier and a light post, apart from other damages.

According to Major Mohammed Ubaid Al Muhairi, Director, Al Salmah Police Station, the operations room was informed of an accident involving a truck at 4pm. It was heading to Umm Al Quwain before its driver lost control while entering an exit. This caused the truck to flip over.

The accident was a result of excessive speed of the truck while it was entering the exit road, Al Muhairi said. The truck driver sustained medium wounds and was transferred to Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Umm Al Quwain, he added.
