Giving employment options to hundreds of candidates this year, Careers UAE 2013 (a major recruitment event in the country) will see many companies come under the same roof to hire talent today.

The job fair, which opens today, will run until May 2, with major companies participating and offering a platform for many on the lookout for jobs.

More than 80 companies will be participating in the event. Big names like Du, Dewa, DP World, Al Futtaim, Emirates, Jumeriah and many other will be hiring across different departments.

The candidates will get the opportunity to meet potential employers and hiring companies will get the chance to meet thousands of Emirati graduates and professionals.

Participating companies can save recruitment costs by eliminating the need to hire through recruitment agencies with the added advantage of building and enhancing their database of potential candidates.

The event also gives opportunity to companies to achieve the government allocated annual Emiratisation target in just three days and be recognised for their Emiratisation initiatives.

The event is for everyone – pupils, students, fresh graduates and adults looking for a new career path or further studies and training opportunities. Parents seeking information for their children’s education needs, and employees looking for better opportunities can also go and find out the best options for their children.

Participants also enjoy free on-the-spot tips. They can get assistance on job search, interview, self-assessment and careers preparation at the ‘Careers CV Clinic’, held at the event.

Last year 125 companies participated in the event from various sectors like banking, insurance, accounting, hospitality, oil & gas, telecommunications, trade commerce, training, HR and transportation. The event recorded 17,284 visitors last year.
