The spectacular Dubai skyline with its myriad high-rises offers a view of the emirate on foggy days like this that few other cities in the world can have.

"We live in clouds," quips a resident of Burj Khalifa.

"Today, till now there is zero visibility from our windows. There is nothing that we can see except the clouds," says Ms Cantonnet, who stays on the 92nd floor of the world's tallest tower.

"Altough we can't see anything outside, but we still love the view. It's like staying in clouds," she added.

At ground-level the misty swirl left traffic with zero visibility.

However, from floors 30 and above, across the emirate, Emirates 24|7 readers were on balconies, at windows and some even braving a trip to the terraces to capture the ‘heavenly’ view from the top – a city immersed in the clouds.

From the lenses of our readers… enjoy!

In the city the fog layer on the ground was dispersed by the traffic, but in Dubailand, it was an almost whiteout. This picture taken from the 13th floor balcony in Dubailand shows nothing outside the balcony - Picture by Rajiv Singh
