Dubai Metro restarts after technical snag halts trains

UPDATE: RTA said metro services have been restored.

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority said on Wednesday evening that Metro train services between Nakheel and Business Bay have been halted for the past half an hour.

RTA said efforts are being made to solve the technical problem within the next half an hour.

RTA said they have deployed extra buses for commuters between Nakheel and Business Bay metro stations.

It said if there are problems at other metro stations, it could be delays caused by the disruption of services between Nakheel and Business Bay, RTA said.

Meanwhile, a commuter said a  Metro train has been halted at Al Rigga station for the past 15 minutes today (Wednesday) evening.

The train’s public address system said it is a technical problem on which the Metro is working.
