Dubai Municipality collects old copies of Holy Quran for needy people

As a part of its community based charity and religious activities, Dubai Municipality has collected 400 copies of Holy Quran from various circles to be distributed later to the families hail from low income sections in and outside the country, said Hashem Al Awadhy, Head of the section, Veterinary Services with the civic body.
“We could collect 400 copies of Holy Quran by our voluntary mission. The collection includes both old and new copies. People seemed to be very enthusiastic to donate copies from their possession for a noble task,” said Hashim Al Awadhy while explained about the new initiative.
He said that Department joined hands with Beit Al Khair for this social charity activity. For the distribution of the collected copies of Quran in and outside the country, it is Beit Al Khair that helps DM.
Staff with the Department volunteered their time and effort to collect Quran copies.
Dubai Municipality has also collected a considerable amount of money to be channelized to the activities of Beit al Khair to support orphans and other sections of the society who need special considerations.
