Twenty-five children were given an opportunity to Experience Amazing this weekend when a convoy of Corvettes arrived at the UAE Down Syndrome Association to take them for a special day out at Dubai Parks and Resorts, the largest integrated theme park destination in the region.

In partnership with the UAE Corvette Club, the children were chauffeured down Sheikh Zayed Road to the destination, escorted by Dubai Police.

The children spent the day at MOTIONGATE Dubai, the Middle East’s largest Hollywood-inspired theme park where they experienced some of the action-packed rides and attractions available at the park, based on some of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters including The Ghostbusters and The Smurfs.

They also had their pictures taken with some of the much loved characters from movies such as Shrek and Madagascar.

The initiative forms part of Dubai Parks and Resorts on-going commitment to help local community groups and organizations Experience Amazing at the destination. In the official Year of Giving, Dubai Parks and Resorts will hold a number of activities throughout the year to give back to the local community.

Muna Harib, Director of Branding and Communications, DXB Entertainments PJSC, owner of Dubai Parks and Resorts said: “Our aim is to create a destination that the UAE can be truly proud of and a fundamental part of this, especially in the Year of Giving is to give something back to the communities we are a part of.  In the first of a series of initiatives for 2017, we were delighted to partner with the UAE Down Syndrome Association and Corvette Club to help make some amazing memories for this group of inspirational children.”

Dubai Parks and Resorts comprises three theme parks: Bollywood Parks Dubai – a first-of-its-kind theme park showcasing rides and attraction based on some of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters; MOTIONGATE Dubai – a unique theme park with rides and attractions showcasing some of Hollywood’s most beloved characters from DreamWorks Animation, Columbia Pictures and Lionsgate, and the region’s first LEGOLAND Park and LEGOLAND Water Park.

The entire destination is connected by Riverland Dubai – a retail and dining destination at the heart of Dubai Parks and Resorts that is free for all to enjoy, and guests can stay at the Lapita Hotel, a Polynesian themed family hotel part of the Marriott Autograph Collection.

Expected to open in late 2019, Six Flags Dubai will be the destination’s fourth theme park and the region’s first Six Flags theme park.
