Dubai road mayhem: 5 days, 7 crashes, 2 dead, 11 hurt

One person is believed to have died of an heart attack while driving

Seven accidents occured on Dubai roads in the last five days killing two and injuring 11 people.

An 'Al Khaleej' report said an Emirati driver was found dead inside his car that overturned on Dubai-Al Ain Road. According to eye-witnesses the vehicle veered across lanes before crashing into the concrete barrier and flipping over.

Investigation revealed that the deceased had called his brother saying he suspected he was having an heart attack. His brother expected him to pull aside and wait for ambulance. However, Major General Mohammed Saif Al Zaffin, Director-General, Dubai Traffic

Police, believes that the deceased possibly continued driving in pain. The official suspects that the victim may have died before the accident.

Dubai Police are investigating the incident.

In another fatal mishap, an Indian died on his way to the hospital after his motorcycle overturned in a service lane on Sheikh Zayed Road on Monday.

Meanwhile, seven people were injured when a car that was heading in the wrong direction hit two other vehicles coming opposite near Khalifa Tower.

In yet another mishap on Dubai Bypass Road, leading to Abu Dhabi, one man was injured in car collision, while two others were hurt near Al Muraqabat Police station when a truck overturned.
