Some roads and certain streets in Dubai have seen the most number of traffic accidents and related deaths in the first 11 months of this year, according to the latest statistics revealed by The Dubai Traffic department.

# Number 1: Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road is the ‘deadliest’ road, which saw 19 accidents including 22 deaths, thus recording 14 per cent of the 148 traffic-deaths during the period.

# Number 2: Emirates Road follows a close second by recording 8.8 per cent of all traffic-related deaths – nine accidents including 13 deaths.

#Number 3: Sheikh Zayed Road saw eight traffic accidents resulting in 11 deaths – i.e., 7.4 per cent of total deaths.

#Number 4: Dubai-Al Ain Road witnessed four accidents claiming four lives, or 2.7 per cent of total traffic-related fatalities.

#Number 5: Street 373 in Al Barsha comes next by claiming four lives in two accidents.

#Number 6: Al Wasl Road witnessed four accidents and four deaths.

#Number 7: The death toll on Hessa Road was four from four accidents.

# Number 8: Al Khail Road came eighth with three accidents claiming three lives – 2 per cent of deaths.

#Number 9: Jebel Ali industrial area saw three accidents and three deaths.
