A total of 11 UAE nationals, including two women, feature in the list of top offenders, committing 2,021 violations and incurring fines worth Dh1.26 million.

Major General Mohammed Saif Al Zafeen, Director of the General Directorate of Traffic in Dubai, called the offending drivers to pay their traffic fines as soon as possible to avoid financial penalties and a suspension of their traffic files. He noted that the investigation team, part of the traffic management, pursues every single driver who falls behind on the payment of their fines.

Al Zafeen warned violators from using their cars without proper registration and technical inspection as not to pose a danger on the road.

He said that the administration will continue to pursue people who owe more than Dh10,000 in fines, via text messages and phone calls urging them to pay their fines.
