The Disputes Settlement Department affiliated to the Court of the Ruler of Dubai will hold a training programme on latest internal audits aimed at checking financial fraud on November 24-25.
Hachim Salem Al Quwani, director of the department, said that the course will host experts and specialists from the United States and at least 15 accounting experts will take part in the training.
He said that the programme is aimed at enhancing the competence of experts and to learn methods used by financial fraudsters, and how to detect it.
He said the court deals with such cases amounting to billions of dirhams.
He cited one case where disputes extended from Dubai to Washington and France, valued at Dh120 million.
He also cited a case between claimants in Dubai and Germany valued at Dh500 million as well as the case involving Hamarain Centre, amounting to more than Dh4 billion.
The Disputes Settlement Department affiliated to the Court of the Ruler of Dubai was established in 2004.
