Dubai, Sharjah announce free parking during Eid

Government transport authorities in Dubai and Sharjah have announced free parking during the Eid-al-Fitr holidays.

"All paid parking zones in Dubai will be free of charge starting from July 3 to July8. Fees will be activated on July 9," said Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing & Corporate Communication, Roads and Transport Authroity (RTA) Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector.

Parking lots of the Fish Market and the multi-level parking terminal will be exempt from this.

“Customer Service Centers will be off duty during Eid al-Fitr holiday from July 3-8, and will resume duty on July 10."

Even the Sharjah Municipality announced free parking during the Eid holidays. "Sharjah Municipality announces that the use of paid parking zones across the city will be free during Eid-al-Fitr holidays from July 2-8.

Dubai Metro

“From July 5 to 7, the Red Line stations will operate from 5.30am to 2am (of the following day). On Wednesday July 6, stations on the Red and Green Lines will operate from 5.50am up to 2am (of the following day).

"On July 8, the Red and Green Lines will operate from 10am up to 2am (of the following day). The Green line stations will operate onJuly 5 to 7 from 5.50am up to 2am (of the following day).”

Dubai Tram

The Tram service, will operate from July 5 to 7 from 6.30 am to 1am (of the following day). On July 8, the tram service will start at 9am and continue up to 1am (of the following day).

Dubai buses

From July 6 to 7, public bus stations will operate as follows: Main Bus Stations such as the Gold Souk, the service will start at 5.20 am and end at 12midnight, and at Al Ghubaiba Station, the service hours will be from 5am up to 12midnight.

At subsidiary stations, such as Al Qusais & Satwa, stations will open from 5am to 12midnight, except Route C01; which will be operating around-the-clock. Al Quoz Industrial Area station will start at 5.30am and close at 11.30pm, whereas Jebel Ali station will open at 6am and end service at 10.15pm.

Metro feeder service stations such as Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Abu Hail, Etisalat, and Burj Khalifa Dubai Mall, will be in service from 5.15 am to 1.10 am (on the following day).

The service timing of commercial transport and inter-city bus services will be as follows: Main stations, such as Ghubaiba, will operate 24-hours a day to Sharjah (Jubail), and from 5am to 12:50am (of the following day) to Abu Dhabi.

Subsidiary stations, such as Sabkha will start at 6.30am and continue to 12midnight. The Union Square Station will start business at 5am and continue up to 12:30 am. Deira City Center will start service at 6.55am and close at 10pm. The timing of Karama Station will be from 6.10am to 10.15pm. Al Ahli Club Station will operate from 7am up to 11pm. External stations, such as Sharjah (Al Taawon) will open at 7am and close at 11.30pm, Al Fujairah Station will open from 6.45am to 10.30pm, Ajman Station will open at 6am and close 11.30pm, and Hatta Station will be from 6.30am up to 10.40pm.

Dubai marine stations

From July 5-7, the service timings of marine transit modes will be as follows: Water Bus at Marina Stations (Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace, and Marina Promenade) from 12 noon) up to 12 midnight. The Water Taxi will operate daily from 9am to 10pm. At Al Ghubaiba Station, the Water Taxi will operate from 4pm up to 10pm, and at Dubai Marina station it will operate 2pm up to 10pm. From Jumeirah Palm Atlantis, the service timing will be from 4pm and continue up to 10pm, and from Jumeirah Palm Station (Rexos) from 11am up to 5pm.

Dubai Ferry will operate at Al Ghubaiba and Marina stations during Eid holidays from 11am, 1pm, and then at 3pm, 5pm and 6.30pm.

Abra

The working hours of traditional abra at Dubai Creek Stations (Al Ghubaiba, Al Sabkha, Baniyas, and Dubai Old Souk) will be from 10am to 12midnight. The Blue (electrical) Abra will operate at Burj Khalifa from 6pm up to 11pm, at Al Mamzar from 2pm to 12midnight, and at Atlantis from 1pm to 9pm. The air-conditioned abra at Al Jaddaf will operate from 7am to 12midnight.

All service providers and partner centers will be closed from July 5 to 7.    

DHA hospitals and clinics

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) announced the working hours for all DHA hospitals, DHA administration and primary health centers during the Eid Al Fitr holidays.

The Accident and Emergency Section will function as usual, however all the outpatient clinics will remain closed during the Eid Holidays and will re-open on July 10 - except for Hatta hospital, as its outpatient clinics will open from 7am to 9pm.

Hospitals and health centres, will work as per shift timings and medical practitioners will be on call to ensure work continues as usual.

The heads of Sections/Units will ensure smooth running of their respective Sections/Units with sufficient staff coverage, while urgent operation will commence as usual.

The Administrative Offices will remain closed, but there will be a designated senior on-call staff, who will be available if and when an administrative problem arises.

The administration of Primary Health Care Service Sector and all health centers and premises in Primary health Care sector will close from June 3 to 9.

Al Barsha Health Center and Nad Al Hamar Center will remain open 24 hours. Al Lusaily Health Center will open for five hours from 9am to 2pm on July 3 to 4, and close from July 5 to 8.

Medical fitness centers will be closed, except for Al Muhaisnah Medical Fitness Centre, which will be open from July 2-4 from 8am to 1pm and close from July 5-8 and re-open on July 9.

Dubai Diabetes Center and Dubai Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Center will remain closed from July 3 to 9.

EmiratesID

Emirates Identity Authority announced that all customer service centers affiliated at the state level will be closed during the days of Eid al-Fitr holiday, which starts on July 3 up until July 9. All call centers will work normal hours during the same period.
