Dubai skyline: Here's why it is unrivalled in the world

Dubai has one of the world’s best skylines and it has got a new addition: Infinity Tower.
 
The world’s tallest tower with a 90 degree twist has got Dubai Municipality completion certificate and is set to be unveiled on Monday (June 10).
 
Here is the list of the achievements accomplished and ongoing by developers in the emirate.

World’s tallest tower: Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa

The 828-metre-high Burj Khalifa has 900 studios, one-, two-, three- and four-bedrooms, while the Armani Residences has 144 fully furnished private apartments.
 
Construction started in March 2004 and was completed in January 2010. It has 57 elevators, 8 escalators and parking places for 3,000 cars.
 
The tower offers luxurious recreational and leisure facilities including four swimming pools, an exclusive residents' lounge; health and wellness facilities; At.mosphere, the world's highest fine dining restaurant at level 122 and At the Top, the world's highest observatory deck, with an outdoor terrace on level 124.

 The 414-metre-high tower houses 763 residential units and has eight retail units. It has 957 car parking spaces. Construction started in 2005 and was completed in 2012

 

World’s tallest hotel: JW Marriott Marquis

The 355-metre-high JW Marriott Marquis Dubai has 1,608 keys. It offers an enticing array of nine restaurants, and five bars and lounges, including the sky-high steakhouse Prime 68; the experiential sushi restaurant, Izakaya; and stunning cocktail bar Vault, which is situated on the 71st and 72nd floors and features panoramic views of the city. The tower design was launched in 2006 and was completed in 2012.
 
World’s tallest twisted tower: Infinity Tower

Infinity Tower

The 310-metre-high tower has 75 storeys and houses studios to penthouses, conference rooms, pools, gymnasium, a nursery and a spa. Construction started in 2006 and was finished in 2013. It has got 8 elevators.

World’s tallest serviced residences: Marina 101

The 432-metre-high tower is under construction. The developer had told Emirates 24|7 earlier that the tower was expected to be completed by 2013-end. The first 32 floors are dedicated to a 5-star hotel, while the rest floors from 34 to 100 will be furnished apartments. There are five restaurants in the tower, 252 one-, 204 two- and 42 three-bedroom apartments with eight penthouses from the 97th to the 100th floor.
