Dubai traffic alert: Multiple crash on SZR

A multiple vehicle crash is being reported on Sheikh Zayed Road, Tuesday morning at about 8.30am, with gridlock conditions opposite Marina Mall, heading southbound on the busy highway.

Dubai Police confirmed the incident on its official Twitter account, stating: “An accident between several vehicles has been reported on Sheikh Zayed Road opposite Marina Mall, towards Dubai. Please be extra cautious.”

Motorists on social media are reporting an overturned van is causing the gridlock, when exiting from Jumeirah Lakes Towers.

While Dubai Police vehicles are already on the scene, the authority has also reported a heavy vehicle broke down at about 8am on Hatta Road, before the Lahbab roundabout.

Meanwhile, commuters on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, heading in from Sharjah, are also facing slow-moving traffic on the busy road at about 8.40am, according to Dubai Police.

Al Ittihad Tunnel, towards Dubai, is also so not faring any better, stated the authority.

Meanwhile, minor crashes are also being reported on E66, near Nad Al Sheba, Dubai-bound, along with another on the exit ramp from Sheikh Zayed Road towards Dubai Investments Park (DIP) roundabout.

The busy D61 or Hessa Street continues to plague motorists before Al Khail Road intersection towards Al Barsha South causing congestion, posted TrafficDxb on Twitter.

Slow-moving traffic is also reported from BurJuman signal, heading towards Dubai Mall interchange; but no crash is reported in the area.
