Several airlines are offering early summer deals from the UAE, with one-way all-inclusive fares starting from Dh149.

Air Arabia has announced launch fares from Ras Al Khaimah, in its capacity as the emirate’s official designated carrier, with flights commencing from May 6 to eight international routes.

One-way fares to Muscat start at Dh149, inclusive of taxes and surcharges, while fares to Peshawar, Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan start at Dh299.

Meanwhile, Dhaka, Cairo and Jeddah start from Dh399.

The Dubai-based Emirates has also launched ‘special fares’ across 16 Far East destinations across its economy and business class sectors.

The lowest return fares with the carrier start at Dh2,445 to Singapore in economy class, with other gateway cities including Tokyo, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, among others.

Booking needs to made by May 8 for travel between May 14 and July 10, 2014.

Qatar Airways also has announced early summer fare deals on offer from Dubai International, Al Maktoum Airport, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Flights to several European destinations on the Doha-based carrier, originating from Dubai’s new airport, include Paris, Frankfurt and London with return fares starting at Dh2,415.

Meanwhile, flights from Sharjah to Washington DC on economy start at Dh3,485, while costing Dh4,015 and Dh4,225 from Abu Dhabi and Dubai International, respectively with the carrier.

Booking restrictions apply, with travel period until June 18, 2014.

Arushi Joshi, a Dubai-resident, believes some of the deals are encouraging to plan a long weekend next month “around the public holiday on May 26.”

She said: “My husband and I love travelling and a Dh149 one-way deal to Muscat gives us a good break to recharge our batteries and works out even cheaper than driving a car all the way to Oman, keeping in mind the insurance and petrol usage.”

Ryan Kershaw, another Dubai resident, says this is the best time to grab a summer bargain before fares to Europe shoot up during peak travel dates.

“My entire family, including my wife and two kids will heading home to London over the summer. And to plan a trip for a family of four during peak summer dates can be an expensive and daunting prospect,” he said. “I usually start my research late April and have fares and dates locked in by first week of May to still bag a bargain fare.”
