Eid Al Adha: Sacrifice prices specified for UAE

In coordination with charitable societies and humanitarian establishments, prices of Udh-hiyah (Sacrifice in Eid Al Adha) have been specified as Dh500 inside the UAE and Dh350 outside the UAE.

This has taken place after discussions between Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) and the chairmen and representatives of charitable societies and humanitarian establishments in Dubai and Northern Emirates.

The discussions were on the initiative of IACAD regarding specifying the prices of sacrifice, and buying sacrifices, slaughtering them outside the country and donating them to the needy inside the country.

Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Head of Charitable Institutions Department in IACAD, thanked the societies and establishments for their effort and cooperation in aiding the underprivileged people.

IACAD agreed with the charitable societies and humanitarian establishments upon the procedures and prices in order to facilitate this worship and control it.

Meanwhile, the number of sacrifices has risen through the last two years. The number was 750 sacrifices in 2012. Then, it jumped to 4,800 sacrifices in 2013. The number of sacrifices from outside the UAE is expected to reach 8,000 sacrifices this year.
