Eight Emirati women on ‘Top Arab Women’ list

Eight women from the UAE find their place on the list of top 50 Arab Women of 2014 in a survey conducted by Sayidaty magazine.

Sahar Al Obad, the first woman to chair the Association of Public Utility, is among the Emirati women on the coveted list. She is also the member of the board of directors of the UAE Athletics Federation as well as the head of the Women's Committee.

Mona Al Marri, Director-General of Dubai Government Media Office; and Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, the first woman minister of foreign trade are also on the list, reported Al Bayan.

Mariam Al Baluchi, Chairman of environment committee on aviation environmental protection; Aisha Abdurrahman - a theatrical artist; Noura Al Ka’abi, Chief Executive of Abu Dhabi Media Zone Authority; Lana Nasaiba, representative of the UAE to the UN; Razan Al Mubarak, Secretary-General of the Environment Agency Abu Dhabi are the others on the magazine’s list of the powerful Arab Women.
