Ejari needed for water, electricity services in Dubai

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has requested all its customers to provide their Ejari certificates from the Dubai Land Department (DLD) before activation of water and electricity services.
 
This initiative is in line with Dewa’s efforts to achieve the vision of Dubai Government that aims at enhancing the concept of transparency in the government sector, by adhering to the highest international standards to improve government services, thus aiding the development of the UAE.
 
In cooperation with DLD, Dewa launched the Takamul initiative in November 2015.

The initiative allows customers to receive water and electricity services, and Ejari certificates, at all Real Estate Regulatory Agency (Rera) accredited offices, once they have completed the registration process.
 
This helps streamline the implementation of government transactions, and eliminates the need to visit two separate government organisations, by offering smart, easy, and accessible services.
 
"Dewa adopts this approach by linking our services with other government departments in Dubai to provide integrated and advanced services that contribute to minimising physical visits to other government departments" said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO of Dewa.
