Emirates Airlines is expected to meet thousands of jobseekers at Careers UAE 2014, Dubai’s leading recruitment exhibition.

To attract local talent, the airline is all geared up to seek the right candidates at Careers UAE 2014, and it intends to further train them for future roles in the company.

The airline is continuously looking for talent for both on ground and on board roles. It conducts many recruitment fairs across the world to hire cabin crew members and is also currently hiring pilots to fly its ever increasing number of planes.

Currently, there are many vacancies listed by the airline under the general vacancies list, which is open to all and another list exclusively for UAE nationals.

The Emirates Group has participated annually in Careers UAE since its inception and continues to attract eager job seekers through creative approaches and interactive platforms. Over 1500 applications were submitted last year at the stand, highlighting Emirates’ position as an employer of choice for UAE nationals.

“At the Emirates Group, we recognise the importance of recruiting qualified UAE Nationals across all facets of business; not simply to fulfil a quota but to build, invest and contribute to the development of this country through its people,” said Amira Al Awadhi, Vice-President National Recruitment & Development at the airline said.

The Emirates Group has a long-established National Recruitment Programme, which the company believes is vital to the development of the group and the nation. UAE nationals constitute a growing proportion of the leadership across the group; illustrating the success of the UAE’s policies and Emiratisation programmes.

The Emirates Group takes in 50 trainees per year for two years in different positions across Emirates, dnata and the group.

Careers UAE 2014 is a three-day fair and will kick-off on April 22, 2014, at Dubai World Trade Centre.
