For the numerous Indians who wish to make Dubai their launch pad to kick-start their career, here is your chance.

Dubai-based Emirates airlines will be in the Indian city of Kolkata to screen potential candidates on the 14th and 15th of this month.

“Our recruitment team will be coming to Kolkata, India to interview suitable candidates. Please apply online before July 14, 2013,” advises the airline.

“We are looking for exceptional people to join our award-winning team. You should share our unlimited curiosity, embrace of other cultures and passion for customer satisfaction.

“Preliminary selections will be done in conjunction with our appointed agency Frankfinn Management Consultants. The assessment is open to both male and female Bengali or Persian speakers,” it added.

If you interested in applying, this is the criteria that you should meet. You should be at least 21 years old, have an arm reach of at least 212cm (on tip toes) in order to reach emergency equipment on all aircraft, educated to high-school level with strong problem-solving skills, fluent in spoken and written English (additional languages are desirable), medically fit to meet air crew requirements and haven a positive attitude with a natural ability to provide excellent service in a team environment, dealing with people from many cultures.

The pay packages have not been specified by the airline but normally an Emirates cabin crew member gets a fixed monthly cash payment (related to the position and based on the knowledge and competencies of the individual).

Besides this, Emirates provides shared cabin crew accommodation with own bedroom. Profit sharing schemes, exchange rate protection scheme, professional specialist allowances also make up a part of the package.

However, these benefits depend upon the role and/or applicant’s unique personal circumstance.
