Emirati airlifted from Ras Al Khaimah mountain

The Air Wing Department of  Ras Al Khaimah Police successfully rescued an Emirati from atop a mountain in the emirate. He had lost consciousness after suffering heat exhaustion on Thursday.

Pilot Saeed Rashid Al Yamahi, Head Air of Wing Department, said no sooner than the department received information about the incident than the team flew out to the site.

They spotted the man in Ghalila Valley at an altitude of 3,500 feet.

The team found him unconscious due to heat exhaustion. They provided him first-aid and transferred him to hospital.

Pilot Yamahi said the Air Wing department is ever ready to face any emergency and head to any destination around the clock, to attend to humanitarian calls.
