Emirati and Asian die in separate RAK crashes

Two people died in separate traffic accidents in Ras Al Khaimah on Tuesday.

According to a report in Al Khaleej, a 48-year-old Emirati and a 58-year-old Asian man was killed in accidents in Khor Khuwair and Al Nakheel area of Ras Al Khaimah respectively.

The Emirati man’s vehicle swerved after colliding with the concrete barrier on the left side of the road killing him on the spot.

Lt Col Ahmed Al Suom Al Neqabi, Acting Director of Traffic and Patrols Department, RAK Police, said rescue team and ambulance rushed to the site immediately and the deceased was transferred to hospital.

In the second incident, an Asian man was attempting to cross the street in Al Nakheel area when he was run over by a vehicle driven by an Arab man.

He died on his way to hospital.
