Emirati child killed by garage steel door fall

A four-year-old Emirati boy was killed and two other children were injured after an automatic garage steel door fell on them while they were playing with its remote control set at home in the Dibba Fujeirah, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The three boys were playing at their grandfather’s house in the eastern town when they found the remote control set and started fiddling with it.

Emirat Alyoum Arabic language daily, quoting police, said the boys were trying to jump beneath the door when it shut on them.

It said Mohammed Al Zayudi was killed after the door hit its head while the two other boys suffered from injuries and were taken to hospital.
