Etihad, flydubai hiring cabin crew

Etihad and flydubai are looking to hire cabin crew staff. The Abu Dhabi-based carrier will be holding assessment days in various cities and these will only be by invitation.

Etihad has listed 10 assessment days that are planned for next month in Abu Dhabi, London, Bucharest, Belgrade, Rome and Casablanca.

Flydubai is also looking to hire cabin crew.

Interested candidates need to apply online and three assessment centres have been listed, where candidates will likely be called for interviews and the final selection.

These are in Beirut, Amman and Dubai with work location stated as Dubai.

To be eligible to become a cabin crew member, you should meet the basic criteria that are uniform across the airline industry.

This includes an age of at least 21 years, a minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches, physically fit with no visible tattoos and you should be able to swim.

On the education front, a high school level requirement is mandatory with fluency in English.

Fluency in Arabic or another language will be an advantage.

International aviation experience is also an advantage with at least one year experience in customer service or sales.

Specific salaries for jobs posted are not stated, but the company ensures that a comprehensive package of benefits will be given when you work at either Etihad or flydubai.

The range and level of benefits vary according to the role you apply for and the experience you bring.

Etihad Airlines promises to offer a “fantastic tax-free salary which is competitive within the industry and reviewed on a regular basis”.

Besides this, free accommodation is provided in a modern shared fully-furnished apartment, with your own private facilities.

“Everything is provided for you to ensure that you have a safe, secure and comfortable home in Abu Dhabi,” the airline states.

Transportation from accommodation to the airport for flight duties is given and then to bring you back home again after your flight.

Cabin crew have access to Etihad swimming pools, health clubs and fitness centres at no cost, and reduced rate massage, hairdressing and beauty treatments to keep you looking your best.

Leading airline travel benefits include unlimited personal travel at special rates, an annual leave ticket and generous concessions for family and friends to use.

Free private medical insurance and life/accident insurance is also included.

You will also be entitled to an annual leave of 30 days besides the special discounts at restaurants, shops, hotels and leisure facilities across the United Arab Emirates and the region.

As a member of the flydubai team, you can expect to receive a competitive tax-free salary that is benchmarked against the industry, a housing allowance as part of your monthly salary, comprehensive medical insurance for employees and families and an educational allowance.

End-of-service gratuity is calculated in accordance with the UAE Labour Law, unlimited discounted flydubai tickets for staff and their immediate families, in addition to flight benefits on other partner airlines, a range of staff discounts and offers on local products and services and a Government pension scheme for eligible UAE Nationals and GCC citizens is also part of the package.
