Family of missing child identified in Fujairah

Fujairah Police identified the family of the missing 10-year-old boy with special needs and said they are questioning the relatives for their failure to report their son 48 hours after his disappearance, newspapers reported on Thursday.

“We are interrogating the boy’s family to know their reasons for failing to report their missing son 48 hours after his disappearance,” said Lt Colonel Saeed Mohammed Al Hassani, Information Director at Fujairah Police.

“We will take the necessary legal procedures to protect this child especially he is a child of special needs,” he told ‘Emarat Al Youm’ daily.

Two days ago, police used social networks to appeal to the public to help identify the boy, who was found by passers-by wandering unaccompanied in the city.
