First baby born at new Al Zahra Hospital in Dubai

The newly inaugurated Al Zahra Hospital in Al Barsha, Dubai proudly welcomed the arrival of Rhea, the first baby born at the hospital since it opened earlier this month.

The proud mother and father, along with staff at Al Zahra Hospital, welcomed baby Rhea into the world at 20:00hrs on 25th February, weighing in at 2.43 kilos.

Sally-Ann Hunter-Madubuko, Women's Health Manager in the Midwifery department at Al Zahra Hospital, Dubai said: “Every baby that comes into the world is special, but baby Rhea is even more so as she is our first at Al Zahra Hospital. The nurses and I who assisted with the delivery are delighted to be part of the history of Al Zahra Hospital and we hope this is the first of many more babies to be born here.”

Taronish Bulsara, the proud mother of baby Rhea said: “The care and constant support we received from Sally, Dr Yamini and the rest of the team at Al Zahra Hospital made the experience as smooth as possible and recovery easy. We thank them all for this and wish them the very best of luck as this hospital continues to grow."
