Foggy morning in UAE: Temp dips to 5.2 deg C

The National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) on Wednesday warned of low horizontal visibility on Thursday morning in different parts of the country due to accumulation of fog.

The NCMS, in a statement today, advised motorists to exercise utmost care, reduce speed and maintain safe distance between vehicles to avert accidents.

In an earlier statement, the NCMS has affirmed that the UAE would not be affected by snowstorm, which began to hit some countries in the region including Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and north of the Arabian Gulf. Forecasters expect the extreme weather to last for two days.

The lowest temperature recorded in the country today morning was 5.2 deg C in Damsa at 7am, tweeted NCMS.
