Two children were injured in traffic accidents on Emirates Road in Dubai on Thursday night.
According to a report in Emarat Al Youm, a pick-up truck heading towards Sharjah on Emirates Road, lost control after the Ras Al Khor bridge, and turned turtle.
The load in truck fell over an on-coming vehicle in the opposite side of the road at about 9pm on Thursday night.
Two kids in the vehicle were injured under the impact.
Major General Mohammed Said Al Zafeen, Director, General Directorate, Traffic, said, 104 traffic-related deaths have been reported between January and November this year. March saw the maximum with 15 deaths as against 12 during the same period last year.
He urged motorists to drive carefully and be cautious on the roads especially given the unstable weather and rainfall. He said the vehicle tyres’ friction between the road reduces when it is wet and can lead to accidents.
