Gardener molests maid to avenge her employer

A gardener allegedly molested a maid in the garden of the house of her sponsor in revenge of asking him to clean an electricity room of the house, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

SZS, 23, Pakistani is accused of hugging her from the back and groping.

The victim, RRA, testified that at around 8am she was standing near the swimming pool and SZS came close to her and spanked at her backside. She pushed him aside but he tried repeating the act.

“I ran away and was scared. I told my employer who called his employer. Later the company sent an apology letter,” she testified.

KH, the wife of the maid’s sponsor, testified that she asked the direct supervisor of the worker to come with the worker to apologise the next day. But they did not. “I told my husband who reported the incident to the police.”

The accused, who had confessed to the crime before police, denied when appeared in court. However, he submitted to the court a reconciliation letter from the victim and asked the Jury for mercy.

The Court adjourned the case for verdict until October 10.
