Al Habtoor Group, one of Dubai’s largest conglomerate, will be creating over 650 jobs in its Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club in Dubailand, a senior company executive told Emirates 24|7.

“We will create many jobs. There will be around 200 grooming and support staff for the stables, a further of 300 staff for the hotel, and around 150 throughout the rest of the development,” said Mohammed Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Al Habtoor Group.

Forty per cent of the project is complete to date and a 100 per cent completion is expected by December 2016.

“Handover for everything will be in December and this includes the St. Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor Polo Resort; the villas and the equestrian facilities,” the official said.

The company has completed 50 per cent work on stables with full completed expected by August.

“We will rent them out. The stables are very unique. They have vaulted ceilings. There is a lot of light and we have thought about air circulation,” Al Habtoor told this website.

The Monster Employment Index revealed this month says the UAE remains one of the best performing job markets in the region as online recruitment activity rose by 24 per cent during the year.

The growth momentum has eased 21 percentage points between February and March in the country. In the Gulf Cooperation Council region, however, job demand exceeded the year-ago level by eight per cent in March as it showed the first positive monthly growth since November 2015.

Dubai will be creating over 270,000 jobs in the run-up to Expo 2020, as hundreds of new hotels, retail and mixed-use projects opening before the Expo begins.
