Girls drive on… as fallen-off friend chases car

A gaggle of girls jammed themselves into a 4WD to go and have a fun bite at a restaurant in Dubai.

It was not strictly legal – for there were 10 girls squeezed into the car – plus the driver.

The girls were in a celebratory mood because they had just finished their exams.

As can be expected, there was a lot of giggling and laughter in the vehicle.

Once all were squeezed in, the driver gunned the car. The sports utility vehicle took off.

The girls were merrily on their way.

At a certain point in their journey, the diver had to negotiate a left bend in the road.

The girls were blissfully unaware, leaving the navigation to the driver – when all of a sudden, the right hand side door of the car opened and out tumbled one of the girls. Because of the turn of the vehicle, the door swung back and closed.

The rest of the teens were having so much fun, that they did not notice for a while that one of their friends was not with them in the car.

She was, in fact, running behind the car, yelling at them to stop.

It was only when the 4WD had gone a little distance, that one of them noticed their missing friend.

She alerted the rest and the driver was asked to stop the car.

They turned to look out from the rear window and saw their missing friend running towards them, waving her arms.

With much concern – mixed with laughter – they received their friend.

Her arms were scratched and her uniform was dirtied in the fall. But she was safe and okay.

The girls thanked God that their friend was safe, that the driver was not speeding and that no other cars were on the lane where the teen had fallen off.

They dusted their friend as well as they could, squeezed back into the car and took off again for lunch.

Soon the fall was forgotten - but not all. Several of the girls now try and sit in the middle away from the door while in the car.
