Gulf man caught smuggling 3 illegals

Abu Dhabi police arrested a man from another Gulf country while trying to smuggle three Asian illegal migrants into Oman by hiding their in his car boot.

The emirate’s prosecutor charged the smuggler of endangering the lives of the three and of trying to smuggle three men in an illegal way for money.

The unidentified man and the three Asians, who were caught near Hili border point between the UAE and Oman, will stand trial in Abu Dhabi shortly.

Sentence for 12 Asians

In a separate case, a court in Abu Dhabi sentenced 12 Asian men to one month in prison and ordered their deportation from the UAE after they were arrested while trying to sneak into the country from neighboring Oman.
